The Fiveheads & OAFS

Above are a couple of photographs of the Walford Fivehead. This is a mono band superhet transceiver with the additional 10 watt linear amplifier built at the rear. This was originally built for “backpack” operation. Have had a nice contact with an Italian station when I was using a very poor aerial. May add CW to the rig at a latter date and sort out a good lightweight portable aerial at sometime.
